LA bound
I'm heading to LA for 5 days. Here's some quick Venice touristy snapshots. I'm not that into any of these and worked on them pretty quick. I'll finish the other 20 or so when I get back.
We didn't set foot/see a car or bus. A boat picked us up at the airport.
Very fetish-y and weird. The Art Director called this hotel "wife swap central"..
yeesh
This was way cooler when they were further down the alley but I had a bunch of bags and couldn't get to my camera quick enough.
Hopefully I'll bring back some good LA photos in a week..

The Photography Post
Rachel Hulin has started a new site and, as usual, its great. She was kind enough to include this blog of mine as one of the live feeds.
In her own words:
This is a venture that has been almost a year in the works; it’s a photo blog aggregate, somewhat like Huffington Post, but way awesomer and with more stuff about photography.
The Post has live feeds, which are essentially visual links to all the blogs we know and love (more being added soon!)– and they update EVERY FIFTEEN MINUTES (thank you web developer genius and TPP partner Henry Tam). Kate Steciw, Danielle Swift and I conceived of this almost a year ago, and now IT’S ALL HAPPENING. I’m so excited, I can’t stop using caps.
So go take a look. It’s gonna be pretty good.
New bookmark for sure. Thanks again Rachel!Venice
Just got back from working for Jason in Venice. I didn't have much time to shoot my own pictures but I scanned some today and should get 'em up later this week.

It was Carnival week so people either had a really expensive cameras or were dressed up like this chick.

Snow day
We got some snow yesterday. I had to work on these quick cause I'm going away in a couple hours.
This is the gravestone store by my house.
Downtown at around 2 yesterday afternoon.
Jason on Orchard st.
The snow was super wet and stuck to everything.

Homebound
Been a little sick the past week. Had nothing else to really do so I went and scanned a few more Ireland photos.
Stoked on this first portrait. Don't know how I missed this on the first go round. I talked to this guy a few times..he was super nice and had really cool bright red ears.
This one's from another day. A lot of photos in these projects are one shot deals. I was waiting for this frame while cutting the negatives back home in New York. I remember thinking, "Okay, I just got a good drying photo" right after shooting it and was bummed out once I saw how out of focus his eyes were.
Another front flip...
The tower probably looks 100 feet tall when your little.
A family getting splashed.
This little guy wanted to go in so bad but his Ma wouldn't let him. The sea was a bit too rough. His out of frame grandparents were calling him with a really funny word that turned out to be his name, Oisín, pronounced USHeen, which means "little deer" in Irish. It sounds really cool when they say it..
a bummed out Oisín detail..
