Busy times

I just came back home two hours ago and got a nice phone call sending me on another assignment. Gonna repack and jump on a 5:45 am plane. Looks like the 'ol blog is gonna have to wait..

Some real quick (and by "real quick" I mean "kind of shitty") point and shoot snaps from this morning up in the great white north...

Some ice houses on a frozen lake

It was -7 degrees fahrenheit when I woke up this morning. Coldest temps I've ever experienced..the real feel was -18 and the locals were saying it was kinda nice out.

Break time

I'm in the middle of a little hiatus at the moment...120 posts in the last 3 months kinda wore me out. I also started shooting a new project in late January that I don't plan on showing for at least a year so I'm trying to figure out what else I can put up on the blog while those pictures pile up...

Anyways...today was the first good shoot day (in six attempts) of my new stuff and some other things are on the horizon so I'll take another week and try and come back in late Feb.
Plus there's always him

Behind the scenes for Nike

I got the fun job of shooting behind the scenes photos on a Nike commercial in October. Here's some of my favorites.

Jason was shooting the ads and Stacy Wall was shooting the TV spot

This light was awesome

C-stands everywhere

2nd unit doing a shot on the street

Nike's basketball tech coaching the extras

4 4k HMI's in a giant helium balloon. I asked one of the surly union guys what this was and he told me it was an air conditioner

A coned off ceiling light

A few long lens warm up shots

These storyboards would pop up out of nowhere.

Filming a closeup

It was all shot on 35mm which was fun to watch

Some prop trophies

A prop (real) rattle snake

A bulldozer smashing a prop basketball hoop

Definitely one of the more fun jobs I've ever been on..
