More signs
Couple more signs from out west.
I'm pretty stoked with the stuff from Utah but I don't want to put up any selects till its all done, edited, and on the website. I'll try post more b roll from Utah and Ireland as I go.
Impound is where a car goes after it completes a near record run. Early the next morning it has to do another run and the two are averaged as the top speed.

Grainy
I've been working on photos from Utah all week..forgot how much of a pain in the ass negative scans are.
This photo is too grainy/shitty for my liking. I drove out with these folks every morning around 5:45. The racers start their record breaking runs at 7. This was shot out the car window with a half second exposure while trying not to run into cones or potholes.
The first hour of daylight, when your out in the middle of nowhere salt flats, is one of the weirdest, quietest places you'll ever experience.

Expanse
There sure is a lot of room out in west Utah. This photo below was taken at around 10 in the evening. The dad was trying to get the little girls shoe out of the salt. This exposure was around 3 or 4 seconds.
Every day the officials in Bonneville close the salt at 8. That would give me two more hours of daylight to cruise around in. I did lots of exploring in nearby Wendover and caught this kid front flipping.
Pretty lucky too.. that wall in the foreground is about 7 feet high and I heard splashes, got on a boulder, and took this quick photo.. right after he surfaced they closed the pool down. Its all alone on the contact sheet.
