Squeezed

Dipping into the archives again.
Old men in little cars.

It was around 90-95 degrees when I took both these photos. Underneath their fire suits these men wear cooling vests that pump cold water all around their chest and backs.

I just bought a bunch of film for a short trip that I'm going on next week...big 'ol pile of film.. hopefully I'll have lots of new outtakes for June.

Wildwood part II

A few more snaps from foggy Wildwood last Sunday.

A lot of the motels were still closed or being cleaned up for the season.

Birds eye view of the beach

A waterpark

We also went down to see my brothers friend Chris who had twins last year. I thought I would come back with tons of funny pictures but it didn't happen. I got one of them screaming though..

Another view.. check out his little chompers coming in.

Wildwood part I

I tagged along with my brother on a trip down to the Jersey shore. We spotted a few of the seasons pioneering meatheads but for the most part it was still nice and quiet.

This awesome fog helped

Last Saturday

Here's some photos I took last Saturday out in Jersey.

Alan's grill was all rusted out so he started building a new one.

It was loud

We had to burn off the toxic paint by getting it super hot

This little neighbor girl was hanging around asking questions

She was pretty funny.

Some cool colors in the bathroom

Car wash

Here's Alan sweeping off a nice sewer grate gap on his block.

A pre-skate dirtbag meal at White Mana in Jersey City

The closest one to a landing..right near the end before we go the boot. Shitty light though.

Talking about the runway..

then this crazy lens flare happened. That's not a burn around the edge..there is only detail in the very middle. Never had one of these before..

Getting video

A bad photo of some cool looking Mexican teens that had scampered off.

Yesterday..

Lunch in a midtown diner.
Dad listening to Nick tell a story about a guy getting sculpture stabbed in the head at his work that morning.

We had gone to MOMA to see this.

Print Sale

I'm excited to have two prints for sale on Jen Bekman's 20x200 site.

This is the first time I've had high end drums scans made and its totally worth every penny.
I had them scanned in at 40"x50" and the quality is so good..

Big thanks to Jen and Sara and everyone at 20x200, Darren at Primary for the scans, and anyone who buys a print. All proceeds will go towards paying for another trip.

Click image below for links to 20x200.

Almost..

Me and Alan drove out to skate this bump in North Bergen yesterday. It was finally free of the trucks/snow/slush/gravel/cars that had been plaguing it all winter.

Security gave us the boot before he landed one. We also missed the best light and had to shoot it in shadow cause the flash wasn't powerful enough..super contrasty.

You have to haul ass down that sidewalk in the background to get enough speed.

I think we're gonna go back later this month with some pocket wizards and try again.

L.A and L.I.

I got back from London a couple days ago but haven't been getting out much..maybe I'll get to shoot some photos this weekend. In the meantime here's some snaps from 5 or 6 years ago.

This is the west side of LA. I take this photo every time I land at LAX but I think this is the best version.

Luis got an assignment to shoot Prince for a cover and some pages in a magazine. I was in Salt Lake at the time and flew out to meet him in LA. We got up the next morning at 7 and didn't get back till 3 the next morning. We followed that little prick around town for 20 hours and didn't get one photo!

A foggy beach somewhere on Long Island.

Outta here

I'm leaving to go to London tomorrow morning.

Here's a photo of Joanna taking a break in the sun.

Last month in California.

Trip home

I went to see my Ma for her birthday dinner.

I also saw a bunch of dudes walking in Paterson

Nick and I went to the OTB to collect Ma's Kentucky Derby winnings. I always liked these windows at the OTB

I took a late train back to the city last night.

Still slow going on the blog. I'm working everyday up into mid May. More later.
