Alan's on Sunday

I went to Alan's on Sunday to shoot photos of him painting his apartment. They are bad photos.

His bathroom is weird and has great muted colors. I shot some pictures in there too.

A leaky sink

On the way back to the city we stopped and he built a kicker

Did some ollies

A Route 9 sunset. The sundown light has started to take on that cold winter quality that I hate.

Hard drive finds II

Hard drive finds

I found some more photos from Croatia and Bosnia.

More bullet holes

Another version of these kids playing.

Iceland at 2 am

My trip to Iceland was during the summer of 2004. One of the few things I remember was the sun touching the horizon at 2 am then coming back up again.

Try remembering those street names after a week long bender.

Trip home and old photos

Me and Nick went back to Jersey on Sunday and had a good dinner.

We threw a football and tried to hacky sack in the dark.

Its not easy.

This is the known photo of my Grandma that now hangs in my old room. My dad took it in 1966 and it has always hung in our various houses growing up. I think its great.

It reminded me to scan some chromes and prints I found while rummaging in her house during my last visit to England. I swiped a bunch of dumpster bound photos and scanned 'em today at Printspace. Here's a few of my favorites...

An old Polyfoto my Grandma had made for her passport.

Pretty cool huh? Its sharp too..

I'm guessing she used that passport to go to India where these next couple were taken.

Here's my postwar dad on the left and some little schemers on the right.

My dad as a young teen with his two younger brothers. This print is amazing..its about two inches square but holds so much detail. I could print this scan 16"x16" and it wouldn't lose much.

The back of the above photo

Mysterious grainy snapshot of my Grandma.

My Ma spazzing out.

Another strange moment

I don't know who would've taken this one but its great. My Grandpa and Grandma on some riverbank.

Then I found some of these amazing 2 1/4 Kodachromes. This is my Grandma and Uncle Simon in Switzerland.

Good ol' fashioned double exposures.

I'm guessing my Dad took this...

Anyways..better here that in a dumpster right?

Bloody Leftovers

I had another version of this on my old website for a while.

Aftermath of a sewn up split head in Costa Rica a couple of years ago.

Long Jump

This is a photo of Luis trying to figure out what to do with a model in a long jump pit.

This was in the basement of Berlin's Olympic Stadium a couple of summers ago.

Blackrock Tower

My second installment in a series of new projects is up on the website. This time the focus is on Blackrock diving tower in Salthill, Ireland.

The grid might be too big for any screen smaller that 1440 x 900 pixels...might get chopped.

A couple of super old crappy scans I found while looking for something else.

The romantic "Valentino Suite" in a downtown LA hotel. I forgot the name of the place cause it was a long time ago. A scene from Seven was filmed in the hallway and they were filming the first Spider Man out in the alley... doing that scene when realizes learns he can climb walls. I remember looking down the air shaft and seeing all the lights and people and being super stoked that there was going to be a Spider Man movie.

and I also found this cool photo of my old roommate Meaghan from about 9 years ago.

Outtakes VII

The dregs of the outtakes. Didn't really work that hard on these.. I knew early they weren't gonna be used.

A bummed Irish kid

Some neighborhood girls.

Old man in the early morning.

Some guys easing into the freezing water

A dad with his kids

This should have been good but it ain't.

Old Timers

Couple of old timers

This isn't in the final website size you lose that nice lighting detail above. Probably better off as a decent sized print.

These kids again

An overview
